Acceptable Use Policy

Version 2.1 · Effective May 15, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs the use of all services provided by MacYou. By using our platform, you agree to comply with this policy at all times.

1. Overview

MacYou is operated by Macyou LLC (a limited liability company registered in Georgia, entity ID 445839503) and provides a self-service catalog of AI deployments running on dedicated Apple Silicon. This AUP exists to protect the integrity, security, and reliability of our infrastructure, our customers, and the broader internet community. It supplements and is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

All users of MacYou services — including account holders, their employees, contractors, and any third parties accessing the service through a customer's account — must comply with this AUP. You are responsible for ensuring that anyone who uses the service through your account also adheres to this policy.

2. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited on the MacYou platform. This list is not exhaustive; MacYou reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether any activity violates the spirit of this policy.

Cryptocurrency Mining

Mining cryptocurrency or performing any proof-of-work, proof-of-stake, or similar consensus computations is prohibited without prior written approval from MacYou. This includes but is not limited to Bitcoin, Ethereum, and any altcoin mining operations.

DDoS & Botnets

Launching, facilitating, or participating in distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, operating botnets, or engaging in any activity that disrupts or degrades third-party services, networks, or infrastructure is strictly prohibited.

Illegal Content Hosting

You may not use MacYou servers to store, distribute, or make available any content that is illegal under the laws of Georgia, your local jurisdiction, or international law. This includes but is not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), terrorism-related content, and content that facilitates human trafficking.

Spam & Phishing

Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam), operating phishing campaigns, or conducting any form of social engineering attacks from MacYou infrastructure is prohibited. This includes hosting phishing pages, credential harvesting sites, or email relay servers used for spam.

Unauthorized Vulnerability Scanning

Performing port scans, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, or any form of security scanning against third-party systems without their explicit written authorization is prohibited. You may scan your own MacYou servers and systems you own or have documented permission to test.

Copyright Infringement

Hosting, distributing, or facilitating access to copyrighted material without proper authorization is prohibited. This includes operating torrent trackers, warez sites, or any service that facilitates large-scale copyright infringement. See our DMCA & Takedown Policy for more details.

Export Control Violations

You may not use MacYou services in violation of applicable export control laws and regulations, including but not limited to the United States Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the service, including any data you process or software you run, complies with all applicable export control requirements.

Restricted Industries

MacYou does not provide hosting for the following high-risk industries without prior written approval from our compliance team:

  • Adult content production, hosting, or distribution
  • Gambling, wagering, betting, or casino operations
  • Firearms, ammunition, or weapons commerce
  • Prescription pharmaceuticals, controlled substances, or unlicensed medical device commerce
  • Multi-level marketing (MLM), pyramid, or matrix-style schemes
  • Money services businesses (MSB), currency exchange, or unregistered virtual asset service providers (VASP)
  • Debt collection or repossession services
  • Telemarketing, robocalling, or unsolicited contact services regulated by the TCPA or equivalent EU/UK rules

Operating in any of the categories above without prior written approval is a material breach of this AUP and may result in immediate suspension. Requests for approval should be sent to [email protected] with a description of your business model and any relevant licenses.

3. Resource Abuse

While MacYou provides dedicated hardware, certain shared resources (network uplinks, IP address space, support infrastructure) must be used responsibly:

  • Excessive CPU & bandwidth — sustained usage patterns that degrade network performance for other customers or exceed the fair-use bandwidth allocation for your plan may result in throttling or require an upgrade to a higher-tier plan.
  • Interference with other customers — any activity that causes service degradation, network congestion, or security risks for other MacYou customers is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to ARP spoofing, MAC flooding, broadcast storms, and IP address spoofing.
  • Abuse of support resources — filing fraudulent support tickets, engaging in social engineering against MacYou staff, or repeatedly misusing the support system may result in restricted access to support channels.

4. Monitoring & Enforcement

MacYou may monitor network traffic patterns, resource utilization, and abuse reports to ensure compliance with this AUP. We do not inspect the content of your data or traffic except where required by law or where we have a reasonable basis to believe a violation is occurring.

When a potential violation is identified, MacYou follows a graduated enforcement process:

  • Investigation — we review the reported or detected activity and gather relevant information.
  • Notification — where possible and appropriate, we notify the account holder and request corrective action within a specified timeframe.
  • Suspension — if the violation is severe, poses an immediate risk, or the customer fails to respond, MacYou may suspend the affected service(s) without prior notice.
  • Termination — repeated or egregious violations will result in permanent account termination.

MacYou reserves the right to bypass the notification step and immediately suspend or terminate service in cases of severe violations, including but not limited to DDoS attacks, CSAM, or imminent threats to the platform's security.

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any activity on MacYou infrastructure that violates this AUP, please report it immediately. Reports can be submitted to:

Abuse Reports

Email: [email protected]

When reporting a violation, please include as much detail as possible: the IP address or server involved, timestamps (with timezone), description of the activity, and any supporting evidence such as log excerpts or screenshots. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

6. Consequences

Violations of this AUP are handled through a graduated response framework:

  • First violation (minor) — written warning with a specified timeframe to remedy the issue.
  • Second violation or failure to remedy — temporary suspension of the affected service(s) until the issue is resolved.
  • Third violation or severe breach — permanent termination of the account.

For severe violations (DDoS, illegal content, imminent security threats), MacYou may skip directly to suspension or termination without prior warning.

No refunds will be issued for any remaining prepaid service when an account is suspended or terminated due to an AUP violation. Any outstanding balances remain due and payable.

7. Changes to This Policy

MacYou may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or industry best practices. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and/or by posting a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of MacYou after the effective date of any updated AUP constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. The most current version will always be available at macyou.co/legal/aup.
