The short version

MacinCloud, pay-as-you-go Mac in the cloud, is a good fit for indie developers who need occasional, low-cost Mac access. Entry pricing is about $165/mo for a M4 · 16 GB · 256 GB machine. The two things most people miss before signing up: managed and pay as you go plans have no admin or root access and dedicated plan defaults to a 100 Mbps port; 1 Gbps adds $15/mo. If your workload is AI inference rather than iOS builds, the lack of pre-installed inference stacks is the biggest practical gap.

Reading the MacinCloud price list

MacinCloud is really two products with one name. The cheap tiers everyone quotes are managed user accounts on physical Mac servers, billed by the day or the month without admin access, and they are a reasonable way to get a Mac desktop for an afternoon. The dedicated servers are the comparable product, and there the price is assembled from add ons: cores, memory, disk, port speed and billing cycle each move the number, so the headline is never what you pay. The default port is 100 Mbps, which matters the first time you pull a 40 GB model. The comparable build for local models, an M4 with 16 GB, comes to $164.99 a month before a faster port, and 16 GB is also the ceiling: there is no larger memory option on the dedicated plan.

MacinCloud sells two kinds of access. The cheaper managed and pay as you go plans, from $25 a month or $4 a day, are user accounts on physical Mac servers with no admin or root access. Root access needs the dedicated plan, which on 12 October 2026 offered only an M4, from $149.99 a month with 8 GB and capped at 16 GB of memory. The dedicated plan defaults to a 100 Mbps port, support runs through tickets and email, and no local model runtime ships preinstalled.

Who should choose MacinCloud

MacinCloud fits an individual developer who needs occasional Mac access, an Xcode build once a week, or a managed account for a few days, and who is fine with ticket and email support. It is not built for an inference server: no AI tooling, a 100 Mbps port on the default plan, and a 16 GB memory ceiling on the dedicated M4.

Not a virtual machine, by MacinCloud's own labels, but only the dedicated plan gives you the whole Mac. The managed and pay as you go plans, from $25 a month or $4 a day, are user accounts on physical Mac servers without admin or root access. The dedicated server plan gives full root access and is assembled in a configurator; on 2026-10-12 only the M4 was in stock, from $149.99 a month with 4 CPU cores and 8 GB before add ons.

Does MacinCloud have M4 Mac minis available?

Yes, on the dedicated plan as of 2026-10-12: an M4 with 4 CPU cores and 8 GB is $149.99 a month and 16 GB adds $15. Memory stops at 16 GB and there is no M4 Pro, so models above 14B do not fit. In September the same checkout showed the M4 as sold out.

What does MacinCloud charge for bandwidth?

The dedicated plan defaults to a 100 Mbps port; upgrading to 1 Gbps was a $15 per month add on in the configurator. Managed and pay as you go plans list a 100 or 1000 Mbps port. If you move model weights around, budget for the faster port.
