Refund Policy
MacYou operates a no-refund, pro-rata access model. Please read this policy carefully before subscribing.
Version 2.1 · Effective May 15, 2026
Quick summary
Overview
MacYou operates on a no-refund, pro-rata access model. When you subscribe to a MacYou plan, your billing period begins immediately upon payment. Subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing period has started.
Instead of issuing refunds for unused time, MacYou ensures you retain full access to your server for the entire duration of the period you have paid for — including after you cancel. You will never lose access mid-period as a result of cancelling.
All payments are processed securely through our payment partner, which handles payment collection, tax compliance, and refund processing on our behalf.
Cancellation & Access
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — your server remains fully accessible until that date.
We recommend exporting your data and snapshots before your billing period ends. After decommissioning, server data is securely wiped and cannot be recovered.
Monthly Plans
Monthly subscriptions are billed on the same day each month. If you cancel mid-month, your server remains active until the end of that calendar month billing cycle.
Example
You subscribe on the 5th of the month and cancel on the 12th. Your server stays active through the 4th of the following month. No partial refund is issued for the remaining days.
Annual Plans
Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for a full 12-month period. If you cancel an annual plan at any point during the year, you retain access to your server until the end of that 12-month period.
Example
You purchase an annual plan on January 1 and cancel on March 15. Your server remains active through December 31. No pro-rata refund is issued for the remaining months.
Exceptions
MacYou will issue a full refund in the following circumstances:
Service Delivery Failure
If MacYou fails to provision your server within 24 hours of a confirmed payment, you are entitled to a full refund of that charge. This covers cases where the server is never delivered due to a fault on our end.
Billing Errors
If you are charged more than once for the same subscription period (duplicate charge) or charged an incorrect amount due to a platform error, the erroneous charge will be refunded in full. Legitimate renewal charges are not considered billing errors.
All other refund requests fall outside of these exceptions and will not be approved. If you believe your situation qualifies, contact us as soon as possible — see the section below for how to submit a request.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund under one of the qualifying exceptions, email [email protected] within 30 days of the charge in question.
Please include the following in your email:
Requests submitted more than 30 days after the charge may not be eligible for review. We recommend reaching out promptly if you notice an unexpected charge.
