The short version

HostMyApple, shared Mac VPS plans and dedicated Mac minis from the US and Amsterdam, is a good fit for light macOS desktop use on a budget VM, or a basic dedicated M4. Entry pricing is about $119.99/mo for a M4 · 16 GB · 256 GB machine. The two things most people miss before signing up: the Mac VPS plans are virtual machines on shared hardware and all dedicated plans come with a 256 GB SSD. If your workload is AI inference rather than iOS builds, the lack of pre-installed inference stacks is the biggest practical gap.

HostMyApple splits into a Mac VPS line, virtual macOS desktops with 3 to 6 GB of memory on shared hardware, and a dedicated line of whole Mac minis. On 5 October 2026 the dedicated page listed an M4 with 16 GB and 256 GB at $119.99 a month and M6 builds with 16 or 32 GB at $139.99 and $179.99, alongside older M1 and Intel machines. Billing is monthly on the first of the month with no contract and a 14 day refund. Every dedicated plan has a 256 GB SSD and memory stops at 32 GB, and nothing AI related is preinstalled.

Who should choose HostMyApple

Choose HostMyApple if you are light macOS desktop use on a budget VM, or a basic dedicated M4 and the strengths above match your workload. Look elsewhere if the fine print, the Mac VPS plans are virtual machines on shared hardware, all dedicated plans come with a 256 GB SSD, changes the economics for you, or if you need AI inference running today rather than after a week of setup.
